Number purchase problems
Buying a phone number involves a telecoms regulator as well as SIMCOAI. Most failures come from that side.
What each error means
Usually because: You already own it.
Fix: Manage it under Owned Numbers rather than buying again.
Usually because: Your regulatory bundle has not been approved yet.
Fix: Wait for the regulator. Review times are outside our control and we cannot expedite them.
Usually because: The address on file does not match the area of the number.
Fix: Either correct the address to a genuine one in that area, or buy a number matching your actual address. Do not invent an address to pass the check.
Usually because: Someone bought it between your search and your purchase.
Fix: Search again. Popular area codes move quickly.
Usually because: You are at your plan number allowance.
Fix: Add an extra-numbers add-on or release a number you no longer use.
Why the checks exist
Regulators require proof of identity and address before a number can carry calls. This protects the phone network from fraud. SIMCOAI surfaces the state honestly rather than pretending a blocked purchase is a system error.
